AB 2398 - Information for Applicants for AB 2398 Funds
Introduction
If you process post-consumer carpet diverted from landfills in the state of California, you may be eligible to apply for funds from AB 2398. The information in this section will assist you in identifying whether you qualify. You can also download the documents you will need to apply for funds.

Who May be Eligible
Any processor who has processed post-consumer carpet from landfills in the state of California, beginning July 1, 2011, may be eligible for funds from AB 2398.
Definition of Carpet Processors
The recipients of funds generated from the AB 2398 Carpet Stewardship Assessments are carpet processors. Carpet processors are companies or facilities that take used carpeting (whether handled by a sorting facility or brought directly by a collector) and process it for use as a feedstock in a manufacturing facility.

AB 2398 Reporting Period
AB 2398 Reporting Periods must be submitted for each calendar quarter:
- January 1 - March 31
- April 1 - June 30
- July 1 - September 30
- October 1 - December 31
AB 2398 Fund Requests
If your company processed post-consumer carpet, diverted from California landfills, your company may be eligible for AB 2398 funds. Here is what you need to do to apply for AB 2398 funds:
When Should Documents be Submitted
Documents may be submitted 60 days after the end of the calendar year quarter (i.e. reports are due Feb 28, May 31, August 31, November 30).
