Did you know that you may be able to immediately reduce your raw material costs and significantly expand your profit margins by using PCC (Post Consumer Carpet) Face Fiber and/or backing material PC4 (Post Consumer Carpet Calcium Carbonate) in your current manufacturing process?
Similar to PCC Face Fiber, the backing material, PC4, maintains the same attributes of Calcium Carbonate and can also be used as a filler in your product. In fact, manufacturers already using PCC and PC4 as fillers are not only saving money, but also finding these recyclable raw materials have actually improved the performance of their products!
NOW there is an opportunity to use a second recycled material, reduce your material cost and receive GRANTS from the California Carpet Stewardship Program , which will help improve your bottom line! Read more about just-announced CARE grants here.
Use raw materials from post-consumer carpet (PCC) and get more resources:
- Receive free samples of material
- Gain eligibility for subsidies to reduce your material cost
- Gain eligibility for new equipment and testing grants
CARE’s Double Green™ program is currently offering the ideal opportunity for manufacturers who use recycled materials in the design and development of products to explore how implementing PCC Face Fiber and/or PC4 in your current manufacturing process can greatly enhance your business. WHAT IS DOUBLE GREEN™?
Double Green™ is a new certification standard currently in the process of being recognized by the state of California as a standard of Green certification. It is the only program of its kind in the state and is paving the way forward with innovation in today’s increasing demand for new applications of PCC recycled materials.
In order to be eligible for the Double Green™ program, you must currently be manufacturing a product using any recycled material. By simply adding a second raw material from Post Consumer Carpet (PPC), such as Face Fiber or PC4, your product will be upgraded to Double Green™ certification.
Double Green™ certification will give your business immediate leverage with the CARE seal of approval that tells potential clients that you make quality products and are working to keep PCC out of California’s landfills. Many of these clients are partnering public agencies that include state and local governments, universities, schools, prisons, etc. Because they have major incentives to use products made from recycled material and spend millions of dollars annually, they will rely on the Double Green™ program to provide them with the latest information on recycling innovation and validation of high-quality products such as yours.
Once you are enrolled in our program, the Double Green™ team will immediately help you to reduce your raw material costs by providing you with everything you need to seamlessly implement PCC and/or PC4 into your current manufacturing process and guide you through every step of the Double Green™ certification process. Your participation in this program may make you eligible for immediate subsidies and future grants for testing and equipment, as well as ongoing marketing opportunities that will continue to expand your business to a whole new level.
