North Carolina, November 4, 2008 – The NC Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance (DPPEA) would like to announce the opening of the 2009 grant round. DPPEA has committed $600,000 from the Solid Waste Management Trust Fund for this grant cycle. Applicants may request any amount of funding up to a maximum of $45,000. Applicants must provide at least a 50 percent cash match to the requested amount.
Private sector and nonprofit organization applicants are eligible for funding under this grant cycle. DPPEA is seeking viable, well-planned and effective proposals and encourages you to consider applying for this grant if you are a recycling business in North Carolina seeking to start-up or expand your recovery efforts. Proposals are due by February 2, 2009.
